OXTANKAH RUINS

This is a photo album page of the OXTANKAH Mayan Settlement on the Chetumal Bay started between 300-600 A.D.
The Mayans are still head of the council in the village of Calderitas. There are other ruins nearby that are not open to the public and have not been excavated, as well as an island refuge that the Mayans built an underwater road to. Mayan's peddle their wares on the Chetumal Beach (Playa) in Calderitas during the day around the restaurants here.
